PARIS, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Champions League contenders Monaco and Lyon continued their lackluster start in Ligue 1 as both of them nailed one point in Saturday's fifth round matches.

Without several star players including captain Radamel Falcao, Monaco managed to go ahead through Belgian international Youri Tielemans' powerful shot that went in off the crossbar in the 57th minute.

Toulouse had their response with 11 minutes from time, as Aaron Leya Iseka's goal set the score at 1-1.

Monaco were winless in the past four matches following their 3-1 victory over Nantes in season opener. They will host La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid in Tuesday's Champions League duel.

Lyon also failed to prepare for their Champions League trip to Premier League side Manchester City with a win, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Caen who were reduced to nine men.

Nabil Fekir, one of France's World Cup winning members, fired a spectacular free-kick past goalkeeper Brice Samba just before the halftime to put Lyon in front.

Caen leveled the score through Claudio Beauvue's spot kick early in the second half, shortly before his teammate Alexander Djiku was sent off for a high foot on Fekir.

Caen moved in front despite fewer players on the pitch, as their captain Prince Oniangue headed in Faycal Fajr's delivery in a set-piece.

Lyon salvaged one point after Ferland Mendy's late equalizer, while failing to capitalize on Caen defender Baissama Sankoh's red card due to his altercation with Rafael in added time.

Lyon sit seventh with seven points from five matches. Caen have extended their unbeaten run to four matches.

Lille took the second place at table after edging Amiens 3-2 thanks to Nicolas Pepe's hat-trick.

Also on Saturday, Dijon lost to Angers 3-1, and Montpellier tied Strasbourg 1-1.
