SYDNEY, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Australia's New South Wales state saw its Liberal-National party coalition government being voted to a third term on Saturday, with the opposition Labor Party conceding defeat, local media reported.

Gladys Berejiklian was re-elected as the state's 45th premier. The Labor Party's leader Michael Daley called Berejiklian and conceded defeat in the state election late Saturday, the guardian reported.

A party needs to win 47 seats to form a majority government in the state and the coalition had netted 45 as of press time, which made the coalition in a strong position to form a minority government if it falls short, the ABC news channel's poll analyst Antony Green said.

"I am most proud of the state of the New South Wales. I'm incredibly proud of the wonderful place in which we live," Berejiklian said.

"And what is most important to me is that, no matter what your background -- where you live, what your circumstances are -- everybody in this state has the chance to be their best."

So far, the Labor has won 35 seats, and Greens won three and Shooters, Fishers and Farmers two.
